    Northamptonshire Titans 106-42 Northants Lightning

Titans took on local rivals Lightning in a very one-sided affair, Titans dominated the visitors from start to finish, keeping Lightning scoreless for the 6 minutes whilst Captain Kenny Hamilton led the way scoring in open play.

In the second, Titans Lauren Dabbs continued to control the transition offence with Hannah Bird and Amber Martin; with a 44-15 score line the game was out of touch for Lightning.

Lightning did settle better in the third whilst Titans Coach Powell gave good minutes to all his players for the remainder of the tie.

Titans face a much sterna test this Sunday at Weavers Leisure Centre when they take on Nottingham Wildcats in the National Cup.

Northamptonshire Titans 86 -18 Worcester Wolves

Titans U14s boys continued their impressive form recording an 86-18 win against Worcester Wolves in the Midlands West league. The difference between the two teams was apparent in the first quarter as Titans amassed 25 points, whereas Wolves went scoreless. Titans changed their focus to specific areas of their offence and defence, but never lost control of the game. The team demonstrated an ability to play with control and, encouragingly, all 12 players contributed to Titans points total. Coach Round was satisfied with the team's progress, but knows that tougher tests lie ahead, so the team must not get complacent.

    Northamptonshire Titans 39-103 Worcester Bears

U16 Boys Titans Purple faced another tough matchup on Saturday hosting 2nd placed, Worcester Bears. Titans Purple kept the point spread fairly close for the first quarter with only a 12-point lead to the more seasoned Bears. Titans allowed that to drift slightly further at the end of the first half and through the second half could not improve the point deficit. It was a tough matchup for the newly formed Titans team but in true Titans form, they persevered right to the last buzzer. Attention now turns to the match with Worcester Wolves this coming weekend.

    Northamptonshire Titans 62-68 Derby Trailblazers

U14 Girls hosted Derby Trailblazers for the second week and wanted to turn last week’s score around, starting strong. Trailblazers took the challenge and the lead alternated throughout the first half, which saw Titans hold a 4-point lead at half 36-32.

Trailblazers were true to form in their physicality and put Titans on the foul line 6 times in the third quarter, however Titans were unable to utilise these points. The fourth continued to be tight however Trailblazers were able to convert their opportunities and took an 11-point lead with 2 mins to go. Titans fought for every ball bringing the deficit down, however time became the enemy and Titans could only reduce Trailblazers to just 6 points. Titans showed a massive improvement to change the score line from a 34-point loss to 6-point loss in just a week; proving Titans are on the right track and can compete with any team in the league.
